It’s quite sad to say this but, I am planning on ’shutting’ this blog down. It was advised that I focus on 1 blog, despite it being a team blog. At first, I thought of forming a team blog with some friends, but since I am already in Panther’s, why not I just focus there instead? Good thing sometime ago he added Manga into his blogging category. Though I don’t think he’ll let me post about Gunpla; I’ll need ask him about that later, lol.

And, I do not know how to express my thanks to those of you who have been constantly checking my blogs for updates and the sorts, I am really thankful for those who have been commenting, and also for those who don’t ^^. I am really sorry that before this, I haven’t been updating much and am sorry if I had let down anyone of you. Thank you all very very much. ^_^

Some AUTHORS wanted!

Sorry for not updating in ages(if you call 2 weeks ages, then, yes)! And, lol, look at what I am posting about now? Authors wanted. >.> . Well, I am not sure who would actually want to write for this unpopular blog, but I am searching, so do continue reading if you are interested. I am looking for at least 1 or 2(do note, I am looking for authors, not guest-writers).

Edit: Now when I ponder more on it, maybe I’ll just make a team blog if there is anybody willing to do it with me. ^_^. I will see how things go.

Now, here is the all so simple criteria:

1) Decent English

No broken English(some grammar mistakes are fine, but not broken all the way), whatever level you are at, as long as you have decent English; tick!

2) No Vulgarism

I am not used to and never liked them, so, none of those foul words.

3) No Hentai

No hentai! Same reason for number 2. Accidental ecchi is fine, by the way. “What do you mean by ‘Accidental’ ecchi?” well, accidental ecchi are those pantsu-shots which so happen are in the picture you’re about to upload; accidental and unintentional.

4) Live With the Current

As you can see, my blog isn’t hosted in any special websites but WordPress, so you must live with the name, ShiroiProxy. It might be simple for some though. If you want this blog hosted, I can try my best and get into one of those websites. ^_^. Not to forget, you’ll have to live up with me…>.<

Yep, all those 4 above. Since my blog isn’t a very big and well-known one, I must of course know my bounds. If you are wondering about the topics of posts, you can actually blog about anything you want, except for games (I have no grudge on them, really). Oh wait, other than games, no ramblings about what happened in your life, like, “Oh wow, that cake I tasted last week was horrid! Never go to ******” so and so. That’s all about topics.

For the banners and header, I can make a different header if you want. About the banners, you can add some of your own which you have made(only for this blog).

Gender; Any gender would be fine, really. And, that’s all, I guess? For the authors, I am searching for 1 or 2, as I mentioned up above. Depending on the comments, I would choose 2 if there are 2 already meeting the criteria and am fond of. Of course, I would like to get to know you more, so after applying with a comment, I’ll send you my e-mail address to your e-mail and maybe we’ll get to converse more than here(if I accept you). If you have MSN, it would be lovely but not something necessary. :3

Well, I hope I didn’t scare you people away and that the criteria isn’t hard to follow. Other than that, I hope to see some comments, hahaha. I don’t bite! >w<

GN-001 Gundam EXIA Roll Out Colour

Yes, another Exia one, lol. Well, I didn’t buy it; was given by Squee who was so sweet and didn’t ask me to pay for the shipping fee. >.< . *hugs Squee*. He was clearing up some things from his room and wanted to give out those which weren’t needed. FarizAsuka commented for the kit first, but he later passed it on to me after knowing I wanted it too. *hugs Fariz* ^-^. I got the parcel on Saturday(22nd) which was 5 days after Squee posted it and fixed it on the next day. Sorry for the lateness of this post, by the way.

Like that SD Exia kit I made about 3 weeks back, this one took about 2 hours too. Maybe it was because I am used to it more than when I did the SD version. Must I say, I do see quite some difference in the detail for parts I need to combine and fix. The most complicated part for me was that puny little head, seriously. [this post contains 22 photos, excluding the one above]

Exchanging weapons, of course! He seems to like those two, lol. But, you know, too bad for SD Exia, he couldn’t hold any of Rollout’s swords…>.<

Spoils of War, version 2, lol

1 new gun; a tweezer which my mom lent, the rest are the same as before(wire-cutter, tooth-pick and the nail-cutter)

Of course I had fun doing this, why would I not? But, sticking stickers were still scary…they were even smaller than the SD Exia’s! I like the colour scheme, even though it’s not Exia’s original blue + white and some hints or red; it makes me feel like this is the darker side of Exia or something, lol. My eldest brother didn’t like it, though. He said it was too plain, hahaha.

In comparison with the SD Exia, they both have their good points; Rollout Exia of course, have more mobility and detail, whereas the SD Exia has his GN-Drive which can be taken out and I like the transparent round piece at his head(over the green sticker is where you’ll need to put that transparent component).

Well, aside from all that, there was something which I didn’t like…it is that yellow piece(not the stickers on the torso), the right hand side part…it’s loose. I have no idea why, though. The left one is doing fine; at least it doesn’t drop off. >.<.

Project Tami In Progress

Second post for this project. Since I don’t think you guys would actually check back that first post, so I’ll be constantly updating this one for the team’s convenience.

Now, plans have been changed, DRASTICALLY. Yes, you read right. Naji-chan would be the one starting the chain now. So, here’s the plan; Naji is going to prepare an A2 sized paper where we all will write “Get Well Soon” etc etc on it. In the middle of the paper, there would be a word with “From: Team Blue” on it (SG members will be doing that). It would be nicer if the words are written in blue though, lol. Whatever you all want to give Tami Tami, you all can just put it in the envelope. But, there’s this compulsory item you all will need to do.

Origami crane. Just 1 would do for each and everyone of you. For those who don’t know how to do, go here. It’s a site I found with a flash animation which will easily show you how it the crane is done. After finishing the crane, just write your name on it(be sure that it doesn’t sink in with the colour, so your name must at least be visible AND readable), and it’s finished. Of course, you all should also write in that A2-sized paper. Very easy, ain’t it? :3 . Next thing to do is to give her something, but that one is totally up to you. Old rule applies; that gift MUST be light, or else I’ll fly to your country and kill you personally, LOL. XD

ShiroiProxy v1.5 (and others)

As you can see, new header up! I am very satisfied with how it turned out. ^_^. For those of you who just discovered the existence of my blog recently, yes, I made 4 headers before this. Used the previous one for quite a long time compared to the others.

In this post, I will be talking about the previous banners and also how I made the current one since I didn’t have such a post for each of the banners. This is actually for myself to remember, but if you have nothing to do and do not know what to do, go ahead and read, lol! XD

First banner:

I do not know how it appeals to others, but I like the serious-feel of it. <—likes serious things. The scan was taken from AP’s gallery of Range Murata-sama. His illustrations are very nice, for example, this post’s image at the top. Do note that I edited the colours. :3. When I finished making this, I discovered that the size wasn’t right, and there were problems after problems until I had to paint the white parts(of the canvas of the right size) with black, thus that peculiar black part at both the sides. It looks funny to me, hahaha.

I didn’t use this for a long time. Apparently, I only used itfor 1 day. It was all because after making it, I thought it looked ugly…didn’t quite like how it turned out, but the scan is nice. ^_^. Also by Range Murata-sama. Oh yes, I do not know which series these two illustrations came from, or they may have not came from any series (because they could be just illustrations in a book). Added quite some textures on it. >.<

I didn’t use this for a long time too. It was because I didn’t feel quite comfortable with it. I have yet to discover the reason, though. ^^;;. Got quite some good compliments on this one. :3 . Thank you for those who have commented (mainly Tami Tami and FarizAsuka). Character from Vocaloid, not counted as an official one(character), by the way. Black Rock Shooter.

Yes, the one which I used for some months. The girl is still Black Rock Shooter. I think I was in the season of admiring her design, lol. Because it would’ve looked too plain on the left, I duplicated the picture and rotated it so that it would be able to fill in that empty space. Plus, it’ll make the header unique, don’t you think? :3

Ok…now, where do we start? I actually had some problems in making it not look THAT plain because I have close to zero ideas in filling up empty spaces. >.<. I took the original scan and pasted it on a canvas of 780 x 200 so that it would fit this WordPress theme’s actual header size and painted the brownish parts on the right. It was a pity that I must cut out Briareos’ ‘rabbit ears’, lol (Character from Appleseed). Added fonts, that gun-cursor brush, tiny letters brush and some lines. At first, I stopped there until I experimented with some cloud brushes. Yes, those cloud brushes made that smokey effect. Good thing I did that, or not the banner would’ve looked quite plain. >w<. Oh yeah, to take away that slightly dirty blue on Briareos, I changed the opacity of a gray texture to “saturation”, which explains why the blue is now gray.

Hopefully I got everything cleared. ^_^

Sweet Nest [album] by kotringo

Konnichiwa mata Ashita was the first SINGLE which I heard and tried of kotringo. Most may not know of this soft and quiet-voiced singer, but she’s worth your try. I say her songs are very nice and soothing indeed. ^_^. Decided to review this album; Sweet Nest rather than Konnichiwa mata Ashita to make up for not posting after the “Dango Dango Dango~” post. L’s birthday wish doesn’t count, lol. XD

1) me & my bird prince

It starts off with a hollow effect added to kotringo’s voice with a slight jazzy tune, moving on to a skip-beat tempo. me & my bird prince is full(literally) with English lyrics, but I can hardly make what she’s singing most of the time. ^^;;. One of the most joyous songs in this album, and also the shortest. It only lasts for 1:51 minutes, lol. I find this song quite cute, though. ^_^ [1:51 minutes]

2) closet

Another full-English song with more drums and electronic effects compared to me & my bird prince. Moves in a fast pace at certain parts, especially when it reaches the chorus. A so-so song for me. Not really my cup of tea, for your information. >.< [3:29 minutes]

3) Oideyo

Oideyo, one of my faaaavourite songs by kotringo and my fav in Sweet Nest. Different from the first 2 starters of the album, this song slants more towards ballad and has some nice soft violin accompanying kotringo’s voice. Of course there’s piano; all kotringo’s songs have piano, if I am not mistaken. The pace enhances from slow to fast together with the instruments’ speed. :3 [5:36 minutes[

4) me.ga.ne

Starts with a very cute instrument. Sorry, I don't really know what it is called, but it sounds like small rain drops. . This instrument apparently is used quite often for this song, making a very cute rhythm. Another one of my favourites, lol. Quite ballad-ish. [4:35 minutes]

5) classroom

Starts with the same instrument which was used for me.ga.ne and some drums for the beat. Combined with some finger-snapping, tap dancing and some clapping makes this song those which you would like to dance to the rhythm. :3 . Has a happy tune. [4:57 minutes]

6) summer

The piano in this song is very nice, and it plays quite a big role in building this song up as you can hear it throughout the whole thing. Drums are for the beat, and there’s this instrument which soundss like the frog in your backyard, lol! kotringo likes to have sounds like those in her songs. ^_^. Very ballad. [4:36 minutes]

7) Kaerimichi

Another piano-oriented song in the ballad genre. One thing which I didn’t quite like in here was that kotringo hits some high notes when she sings certain parts of the song, and those high-notes didn’t succeed to me, lol. So far, that’s the only complaint about it, hahahaha. [4:58 minutes]

8) Deiji

Ahhh, one of my favs~ (I seem to have a lot of favs…). Quite a lively song, I must say. Starts with some nice drum beats followed with some light-jumps of piano. The electric guitar here is very light, it’s not those hard-rock type, but more of the ones you use to liven up a song. I like the way the drums are played. The liveliest song in Sweet Nest. [3:30 minutes]

9) Dai suki na hito

Compiled with guitar and drum beats in a continuous tone. The piano is rarely heard in this song, actually. Quite ballad-ish and sometimes it has a sad tune. Can be classified as a melancholy song. I like it though, also because it’s very soothing to the ears. [4:08 minutes]

10) Kimi wa Jiiniasu

Another lively one, lol. Also has some finger-snapping, but it rarely appears. Has some violin and organ if I am not mistaken. [4:03 minutes]

11) Furetara

The effect used at the beginning gave me a feel of someone running in a hallway rushing off to somewhere. It is used throughout the song accompanied with some piano. Chorus is greeted with added electronic drums. It was quite difficult to hear the drums as the other instruments got livelier and louder too. [4:51 minutes]

12) to stanford

Come to think of it, this song sounds sadder than Dai suki na hito, haha. Gives me a feeling of unrequited love. >.<. The only instruments used are the piano and violin. Both the tune and kotringo sound very melancholy and mellow. Of course, a ballad. [3:22 minutes]

Overall

I enjoyed Sweet Nest very much. The album before this by kotringo; Songs in the Birdcage was quite bland to me. Somehow the rhythm and songs weren’t quite appealing. Best songs in this album to me personally are Oideyo and Deiji. If you’re looking for some melancholic songs, give Dai suki na hito, summer and to stanford a try. ^_^.

Man, I cannot find kotringo’s songs in esnips and imeem…that’s bad…BUT, good thing YouTube has some of her songs. :3. So, here are the available songs which have been uploaded on YouTube. Note that not all of them are the music videos. Some are live. Well, the only music video I found was Oideyo. >.<

And those are all I could find in YouTube from Sweet Nest. >.< . People need to know more about her…I can’t believe that even imeem doesn’t have her songs…;_;. I actually think that ballad lovers would love her, but I kinda get the feeling that not a lot of people are used to her type of songs. For an example of her voice, try Kanashii Yokan. It wasn’t sung by kotringo but by Marianne Amplifier, from the series, Tsukuyomi ~Moon Phase~; the ED. This version I found from esnips features Yuka, which I cannot tell what the difference is without her, lol. Here. Their voices(kotringo and Marianne) sound almost alike, so, it’s a good example. ^_^

This is a very nice site for the lyrics of Sweet Nest. It has the kanji and romaji lyrics of all the songs inside this album. Couldn’t really find the English translation…sorry. ;_;

Get Well Soon Card: Project Tami

So, Tami is unwell, and, I don’t want to state why she is in her current condition, nor do I want to answer you in comment-form. Go to irc and ask me there; #teamblue @ irc.rizon.net

Now, for the plan. The card will start from me. It’s either going to be a card or a big blank paper where you all will write “Get well soon!” or something(maybe both), and I’ll pass it to whoever is next in line or closest to me. Members joining from other countries(besides Singapore) will affect the chain, so, be sure to tell me whether you’re participating as soon as possible. Those who are in SG and would want to participate, tell me and I’ll notify the other SG members. Most likely you will all meet up together and write your wishes then and there. After SG, so far, the card will fly to Naji-chan in Sweden. And from there, Naji will pass it to Tami Tami after finishing what she wants to write/put inside the envelope.

You can add in something light; a key chain, bookmark, etc. As long as it is light. Do not put it heavy things, or else Naji will suffer for the shipping cost, since she’s the one who’s sending it to Tami, and the last in line. Hopefully I’ve said what I need to, and just leave a comment here if you would like to join. It doesn’t matter if you’re in Australia or other countries besides Malaysia & Singapore; the shipping cost will be cheap (when the parcel is light).

On an end note, I would love for this to be settled with asap too. Hopefully Tami will get the card in 2 weeks time or something, neh. ^_^

Happy (super) Belated Birthday L!

Ok, sorry, I didn’t have mood to blog because I’ve been waking up quite late nowadays…(11am +), BUT! While I was eating dinner today, I realised that, somebody’s birthday have long passed. That is, of course, none other than our cake-loving eye-bagged Death Note character, L. Lawliet! >w<. *claps for L*

Hehe, one of my favourite pic with L. >w<. Since it’s of him on top a slice of cake, I must as well share it with you guys. XD

I am now pondering on why I’ve actually forgotten about this…and when I look back at November 1st, I was celebrating my own birthday at some Japanese restaurant. O_O . I must have been thinking about it on Friday until I completely forgotten about L’s bday which is on the 31st of October. But, you know, on that Friday, me and my homegroup(a Christian fellowship program) members were talking about L and Raito. @_@

Dango Dango Dango~

KLCC’s Isetan is having a Hokkaido Fair which started on the 7th November and will end today. I actually went on Sunday, but I didn’t have the mood to blog about the *cough* dango I ate that day. YES! DANGO! A lot of things happened that day, but I guess you don’t want to hear all about my day…well, if you want to, you can go here. It’ll lead you to my livejournal post which have more details about it.

I also did get some bunch of otaku stuff; animes and a manga. Here, I took a picture of them. Got those from Kinokuniya and a second-hand novel from Pay Less Books at Ampang Point. I might review the book if I actually think it’s worth mentioning. Hopefully it’s nice, haven’t really read the first chapter yet, lol. In this post, since it’s about dango, I feel like giving my thoughts about the song, Dango Daikazoku by Chata too (for some reason) ^_^

I don’t know why I placed that Kinokuniya plastic there…

From bottom: Asatte no Houkou(anime), Kurau: Phantom Memories(anime), Koukou/Highschool Debut vol. 6(manga) and The Triumph of Katie Bryne(novel). Owh yes, I also booked/ordered Emma volume 7 from Kinokuniya. Hopefully it’ll arrive as stated (2 weeks).

The dango cost RM3.90, which devided by 3 would be RM1.30 for one…O_O. Expensive…but it was quite nice. People would think that putting in the fridge would make it hard, but no worries, its original texture remains and still chewy. >w< . The type of dango I got was the Bocchan Dango, as informed from Wiki. You can find out more on this Wiki page. In colour accordance, the pink one is red-bean flavour, white: egg, and the green: green tea. I couldn’t really taste what the white one was, but rather than the green tasting like green tea, it tasted more like pepper mint. O_O . Didn’t really enjoy the latter. >w<. Red bean is best for me! I have no complaints about the white dango~

Dango Daikazoku by Chata

As most of you know, it’s from the anime titled, Clannad by Kyoto Animation. I guess you can classify this one in the ballad genre. It goes along in a slow pace accompanied with quite some background effects. Chata’s voice doesn’t have messy high pitches and it makes the song sound cuter. >w<. The rhythm sounds quite sad…It made me tear when I first watched the ED of Clannad (Dango Daikazoku). ;_; . I would definitely recommend this to ballad lovers. ^_^. Panther gave some comments of the song for his ‘Song of The Week’, so I’ll just add it in. Here. And as quoted from Feidamu-san, “IT’S PURE WIN, WHAT ELSE CAN YOU WRITE?” <—referring to Dango Daikazoku.

The Romaji, Kanji, and English can be found in gendou. Head over there for all three. ^_^

GN-001 Gundam Exia SD KIT

My family an I went to Rakuzen, a Japanese restaurant which I guess is quite popular? The reason was to celebrate my 15th-birthday which was very long overdue. My birthday is on the 14th of April and now we celebrated it on the 1st of November…it was totally my fault, really. Because of an exam, I wanted to enjoy it after, hence the lateness. The food was so-so, but what I want to talk about now is my second birthday present from my eldest brother. ^_^;;. He didn’t really have to buy a second present…but oh well, the present is the title. You must have guessed it; totally obvious! XD

Of course, I fixed it on the day I got it. >w< . And for your information, it also has a removable GN-Drive. [WARNING: Picture-heavy under the cut. (not recommended for slow internet speeds)

If you’re wondering about what is both that nail-cutter and tooth-pick doing there, well, here are the functions.

1) Nail-cutter: There’s this part of the nail-cutter where you use to smoothen the edges of your nails, right? I use it to smoothen the parts which have rough surfaces due to small excessive joints.

2) Tooth-pick: To reach narrow parts where the sticker(s) needs to be pressed down.

I was very delighted to receive this kit, and at the same time, afraid of mistakes. It is after all, my first Gundam kit. ^_^;;. There was a time where I was fixing the head of this guy which I actually thought I did it wrongly. Thank goodness it wasn’t wrong at all, hahaha. Sticking stickers were frightening too, actually. In case you stick wrongly and it’s really deep inside, you cannot redo it. But, all in all, it was a fun new experience. ^_^.

P.S. I took about…2 and a half hours to actually finish this SD kit, if I am not mistaken.
